Hi!
My name is Andrea Håkansson. This blog is focused on living history and reenactment. For the most part I will write about textile crafts, since that is what I do best. The middle-ages has been my hobby for over ten years and since 2009 my ambition has been to make as historically accurate things as possible, and as my knowledge extends – so does my crafting skills. Want to know how it all started? Look here!
I have one particular period of time that I like best, and that is the late 14th century. I do like other centuries as well – I’ve made clothing from both the 13th and 18th centuries, and from the Viking Age. Now, with the coming anniversaries of the 30-year war, I’ve started doing research for early 17th century clothing.
I am a member of the reenactment group of Fraternis Militia Carnis, which focuses on the years of 1364-1412. It makes me eager to produce nice things.
Now you know a little about me. Please comment and tell me something about you! And if you have a blog – please link it to me! I always look for new things to be inspired by!
If you have other, longer questions or such – feel free to contact me at recreatinghistory[at]gmail.com or at my Facebook page: Andrea Håkansson – Recreating History
